Design of Wave Glider Optimal Parameters Suitable for the Northwest Pacific Ocean, the North Indian Ocean, and the South China Sea

To study the optimal design of Wave Glider parameters in wave environment Northwest Pacific Ocean, North Indian and South China Sea, average velocity a was taken as evaluation criterion. reanalysis data from ERA5 were used to classify mean height period into five types by K-means clustering method. In addition, dynamic model simulate influence umbilical length, airfoil, maximum limited angle on under element. The force wings simulated using FLUENT input. simulation results show that (1) 7 m is most suitable length; (2) smaller relative thickness should be selected perfect conditions; (3) for first type element, 15° best choice angle, 20° preferred second, third, fourth types, while 25° fifth type.
